Never thought I'd be the author of an email like this... But today I just got an email from a site that claims to be paypal, asking for me to verify my paypal information. The Subject of the email was "Slight error - [PayPal Notice #7728814471] - Urgent Action Required" so if you get an email looking like this, don't even bother to open it. They're just trying to get you to give them personal information. When I looked closely at the email sender, I discovered that it was "dcvcqm@intl-paypai.net" —not even paypal...they're trying to get you to see and L instead of an I.
If you receive an email like this, go ahead and report it by sending it to spoof@paypal.com. They also have a lot of information on fraud protection on the website.
